There is a little over 12 weeks to go until the BizFit team, aided by our sponsors, participants and volunteers attempt to scale the dizzy heights of Mount Everest in a virtual Coach to Summit Challenge Climb.
The money raised from the entrance fees and sponsorship goes directly to charity. This year our flagship charity is The Multiple Sclerosis Society, a cause very close to the heart of one of our main sponsorship partners, Cass-Stephens Insurance Ltd.
Cass-Stephens is very much an ethical family business, and last year they celebrated 50 years in business with a series of charity and community-based projects. And it’s this ethos of giving something back and doing ‘good’ for the community that fits so well within the Biz-Fit values.
We are delighted that Matt and the team at Cass-Stephens have decided to join us. Talking about his company’s involvement Matt explains, “Most of us know someone who is affected by MS in one way or another, whether they are an MS suffer, carer, family member, or a friend of someone with this incurable disease.”
“As a business with a Head Office within the 3 counties, we felt that providing the insurance cover for the event was the least we could do to show our support and contribute to the fundraising, vital for research.”
In fact, Matt’s colleagues have taken their commitment one stage further and will be pulling together their own team to attempt the climb on the day itself. They’ve already started training by taking the stairs instead of the lift and by trying to ‘out step each other’ during the working week.
Director, Matt is pictured first left with some of his team. Talking about his team Matt says,“We see this as a great opportunity for the team to come together, to get fit and of course raise money for charity as well as having fun.”
So, If you share the same beliefs as Matt and his colleagues why not find out more about BizFit.
Best wishes from Basecamp,
