The BizFit – Couch to Summit Challenge is a bold and ambitious Charity Event designed to achieve 3 things.
- To help develop the mental and physical resilience that we believe is required to successfully overcome the challenges facing today’s business owners.
- To create a very different type of networking event. An Event where owners of small to medium sized businesses across Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire can come together and get to meet and connect with each other through a shared experience.
- To raise a combined total of in excess of £1,500 for the Multiple Sclerosis Society (our charity partner) and any other charities our participants are supporting.
What is the Goal?
The goal is for up to 60 business people, working together in teams of 10, to reach the virtual summit of Mount Everest by repeatedly climbing the 71 metre (which is what’s required to cover the 8,848 metres between sea level and the summit) elevation that goes from the British Camp Car Park to the British Camp Fort.
* Permission is currently being requested from the Malvern Hills Trust, who own and care for the Hills and surrounding Commons, for the use of this location.
It’s ambitious for a reason
We believe that for businesses to successfully overcome the various challenges they will be facing in the months and years ahead we are all going to have to think differently and most importantly act differently. Which means (if we are honest with ourselves) that sometimes we get scared and fail to do what needs to be done.
This event is no different. The size and scope of what we are doing here (particularly in the time frame we are operating in) scares us but it also excites and inspires us to step up and find a way to overcome the challenges we are facing and make it the biggest success we possibly can.
